Gordon McDougall is an international theatre director and academic. He served for six years as Principal of the Guildford School of Acting and has worked for several years at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He has also been director of university drama departments in the US and the UK. He was twice nominated as Best Director by London critics and has served as Artistic Director of the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, the Stables Theatre, Manchester, the Oxford Playhouse Company and the Citadel Theatre, Edmonton. His theatre work has been seen all over Britain, in the Far East, the Near East, Europe, the US, Canada and Central and South America and his television work has been syndicated world-wide.
McDougall is also an academic of international repute who has taught at eleven universities in the UK, the US, Canada and Italy. He has been Full Professor and Visiting Professor at British and American universities. For three years he was Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey and for nearly ten years he was a producer and director for Granada Television.
Andrew currently runs a voice and presentation company for senior executives
His experience in the field of voice spans over twenty years, both as a professional performer and as a voice and performance coach. He has worked with some of Europe's most prominent teachers, performers and directors and, as a trainer, works with an extensive variety of corporate clients.
Having trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Hochschule der Darstellender Kunst in Berlin, he based himself first in Berlin and then Vienna and performed throughout the major European centres in opera and concert works. After several years in opera, Andrew moved first into musical theatre, with the role of the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd-Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, and then again in 1992 when he co-created and presented a television series for the German television company, ARD.
Andrew founded the Bristol Academy of Performing Arts and served as Principal for ten years.
An internationally known musical theatre director and choreographer with over 120 professional production credits, Gerry was Head of Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting for 16 years and now heads the 2-year course at the Performance Preparation Academy.
Jill has choreographed over 100 professional productions and has been Head of Dance at the Guildford School of Acting and the Musical Theatre School. She is Head of the 1-year course at the Professional Performance Academy.
Winner of Tony Awards for her starring roles in Irma La Douce and The Pajama Game, Elizabeth has choreographed and directed over 50 professional shows and worked with students in a number of different academies in the UK and US.
